hey, i just bought the age of empires game and my hard drive doesnt seem to want to play it? it doesnt respond at all when the game is inserted. the lights flash on the computer and the it stops like i didnt insert anything. on the front of the cover it says pc dvd rom and my cd player says compact disc ultra speed, is something clashing and i dont have the right software? ive been able to play other things with the dvd symbol on it before. cant play movie dvds though. when i go into my computer it doesnt read the game. please help im getting really anoyed with this computer as i want to play this game real bad !! :(

Yeah,mine is doing the exact same thing but on my computer it sayes i have a DVD-R Drive is this the right drive. idk s--- bout these computers.(:

Firstly, make sure you actually have a DVD rom. A DVD rom game will likely allow you to install it but won't allow you to play it if you don't have a DVD rom and only have a CD rom. Secondly, if it is a DVD rom, check if that drive is writable. If so, make sure that the game doesn't have SecuRom which is really touch and go with regard to CD's in writable drives. It will tell you repeatedly to put the correct disc in the drive when you know you have done so.
