Reply: (edit)OK, Ive had these a million times at least, 70% of the time was due to a cooling problem, computer games unlike your normal application software stresses most of your computer components during gameplay. The CPU is the best place to cook a good hot meal on after playing a good first person shooter for about an hour. Without too much talk, I would inspect the CPU fan and ensure that it is operating and/and or working at all, if your computer overheats it will cause whatever is running on your PC to halt. I operate a small network of computers and games is usually on the menu in this place, so ive come across many of these issues with PC freezing, and I must say that Ive replaced about 8 PC fans within a year. If you are familiar with your computers BIOS, you can enter into BIOS and inspect the RPM of your fan... I think it should be at least 3000 plus for it to be considered working... I dont know exactly, but Ive come across CPU fans in business that were rotating at somekthing like 1500 RPM which means that the fan is useless, rubbish, needs to be replaced. You said that you have the latest versions of the computer drivers so i cant suggest much on that. Good luck. AdamAE
