Game Installation stalls

Today I just got this new kick butt Gateway computer with Windows 7. I start installing Final Fantasy XI on it (Vandiel Collection). I get them all installed except for one. Chains of Promethia. Installation stalls and I get and 1603 and 1305 error. I tried to copy the entire disk to my hard drive and install from there but it won't copy over "Data11" cabinet files (not sure what that means). Bad disk? or something else? And yes Antivirus was off.
