OS: win xp
CPU/Ram: 256 mb ram, 1.3ghzs

Well when I play world of warcraft the sky and some of the background constantly flashes different colours and then sometimes the screen gets filled with well what looks like visual garbage. Anyway my card is a Geforce Mx 440.

Would updating my drivers be the solution to this problem?

i am not sure, but i think that the mx440 might be old for that game. you can buy a video card like josh, $20 for a FX 5200. for WOW, should be OK, should be better than MX 440

don't touch the 5200s, they suck too bad. get a 6 series or a radion(x600 or higher).

p4 3.0ghz @ 222X15=3330mhz
512mb pc3200 dual channel @222mhz
80gb wd hdd/40gb maxtor when on linux
8x agp geforce 6200 @ 530/585can't unlock extra pipes. plz help if you can

i know, but at least is better than the one hes using. and WOW doesnt require a high-end video card.

I realize you have an older card, but that doesn't mean you have to use an old driver. A driver update may help:
