what gameing engine has bin used in the star wars battlefront 2 pc game the reason i ask is when my bro bought quake 4 it said it required a 2ghz yet he runs it fine on his 1.5ghz and apprentyl becuase that games uses a lower verson of the unreal game engine or somer like that he was able to play ok n so if the game engine used on battlefront 2 is ok i feel my pc will be ablr to play it smoothy with my 1.8ghz 1gb ram and 6600gt graphics card

You do not have to meet the requirement to play except when it saids 2Ghz... it means you should be using at least a 2Ghz CPU to run at the lowest possible details.. I'm not sure what engine you mean like Direct 3D, Open GL, 3dfx Glide???
