My simple question is will a Geforce4 Ti4200 work on my 180W PSU. I only have 2 optical drives a HDD and a Floppy thanks for your help.

Oh yes one last question if my PSU can handle that card what do you think is the best card my PSU can handle?for example I'm viewing this geforce4 ti4400 will my PSU handle that one?

I think you might need a better psu...i got my 480w Thermaltake PSU for $50 at Newegg.

Ti4400 uses the Ti4200 GPU they are similar to each other. If a 180w psu can handle a ti4200 then it *might* be able to handle the 4400.

if you dont want your pc to set alight i suggest you go and buy a decent sized psu atleast a 350 watt more if you want to be futureproof

either your pc won't turn on, or it will. 180W is nothing these days, I don't think you're PC will be able to boot due to insufficient power.

It requires a different voltage, go with a psu greater than or equal to 350w.

A Geforce 256 is probably recomended for a 180w PSU, PSU are really cheap, have seen decent 400w for $30

man isnt that geforce 256 a little to weak?I was recommended a G4 Ti4200 or a G3 Ti500 but I guess the 4200 wont work but will the G3 Ti500 work? or whats the best card that will work with my PSU. thanks for the help

I'm a hard head cuz I dont want to replace it I see theres no need as my graphics card is the last thing im going to upgrade on this computer(MAYBE a DVD burner) and I was just asking what was the best graphics card for my psu thanks and I have an HP dont those companies use their own PSU's or is that just dell?So please can somebody just tell me whats the best graphics card for my PSU and sorry if im being a hard head. Thanks for the help

some come with 350-400 watt psu's for about 60 bucks or less...i concur, at least a 350 or 400

a meat tenderizer will take care of that hard head...lol

Wattage isn't the only factor to look at when buying a PSU. You have to look at how the amps are distributed over the various rails...especially the +12v. Here's a great site that explains what to look for & why:

12v@18a for $50 shouldn't be that bad..
the ones with 12v@30a~ are around $100 so I can't afford them anyways
