hey, i know what you guys are thinking with the subject.. FX5700 ULTRA ON 1.0 GHZ!?!? LMFAO!!! but my friend is gonna hook me up with it for like 100, and im gonna upgrade my mobo soon.. in 9 weeks when i get my report card, i was just wodnering if it would be compatible with my motherboard.. coz i heard u need to plug in another thing for Ultra cards.. not sure.. saw it on the manual.. wondering if my mobo could keep up with it, i have an AMD Athlon 1.0 Ghz.. (Tbird??) yea.. and i was also wondering if putting the 5700 Ultra on a 1.0 Ghz mobo will do anything to the card like lower is clockspeed or something, i need help plz!

Well I had a 5700 Ultra on a P3 733mhz and it worked but it played like s---, but yeah
It should RUN, but I doubt that you'll get any performance boosts because of the processor. I upgraded from a Mx440 to a 5700 Ultra and i hardly noticed any performance gains.
