Comment: I just bought a Leadtek GeForce FX5900 Ultra 256mb. I upgraded from a ti4200 which I never had a problem with. I had the ti4200 overclocked and it ran perfect. This is all with the latest drivers from nVidia. I installed the new FX card and it loaded up perfectly. I then ran coolbits to OC. Well it froze a few game henchmark screens so I clocked it back to stock settings. It still froze games so I uninstalled the drivers and re-installed them. AND I still get frozen in all manner of games.. Mostly it will be about 5-10 minutes into the game. It isnt a heat issue as I have plenty of cooling and the most I have seen the card get up to is 46C (OCed). Anyone else have this problem? This is ONLY in games and never freezes in any other program. Please HELP.

Reply: (edit)Well, I lied... I just ran 3DMARK2001 a few times, and I saw the vid card temp reach 58C. This is still not very hot. But the system is still freezing after about 10 minutes of playing a game. Like I said before, this exact setup ran perfectly for 6 months with the OCed ti4200. I put the new card in and this freezing crap happens.

Reply: (edit)WOW, that was a load of help.. anyway.. I sold the 5900 cause I couldnt get it to stop freezing.. TI4200 is back and running flawlessly @ 317/580 with 12,700 3DMARK01 score. Seeming how I was only getting 15,200 with the 5900 OCed @ 480/970.. I can eat the 2500 points difference and save $300+..
