Reply: (edit)Have you been to Futuremark's website to compare and evaluate your 3DMARK05's stats against others ? There is only one satisfying way to boot a computer.

Reply: (edit)that score is fine. Remember that 3dmark 2005 does not take advantage of dual core processors. The 7800gt plus an fx57 processor scores something like 7000points. I have an x1800xl and plus an a64 3700+ san diego and one gig of ram I score 7019 on default. With my san diego overclocked to 2,8 (from 2,2) I score 7390, and with my gpu overclocked I'm scoring 9020 now. :D The x1800xl is the 7800gt's direct competitor, although it scores better on 3dmark05, it does worse in 3dmark06. You should really donwload 3dmark06 and use it to compare since it uses your dual core benefits. Free

Reply: (edit)The 3dMark benchmark programs are very heavily video-card dependent and aren't the best way to solely judge your processor capabilities. Fennerman's right to suggest 3dMark 06 though because it does use multithreaded testing to give your dual core proc a workout. Download it for more accurate results. And btw 7000+ marks is still really good! My 3500+ rig w/ 6600GT barely cracks 4500 marks.
