I was wondering if there was a way i could get better fps during counter-strike. Here's my specs: P3 celeron 800 mhz ATI Radeon 7000 32 bit pci video card 512 mb of sd pc-100 ram I've done picmip, but i don't like playing like that. I've changed the updaterate, but only to find that my choke can get up to 90 on some levels.

use a AGP card if you have the slot. Other than that, without a complete system overhaul, you're S.O.L. You can try some system tweaks, like stopping all un-necessary services..basically you need only a couple running..more detail on maximumPC.com or search google for XP performance tweaking etc

You can also download directx 9.0 if you havent already. I have heard that helps. I Just downloaded it, and I currently have 60fps, so it hasnt gotten up there yet, mabye a couple tweaks will do the trick.

Snowtion - You say you have 60fps. Just a thought here, but if you're running Windows XP have you got the framerate fix? (XP apparently caps fps at 60). I haven't got the URL, but search google for "XP refresh rate fix". That should allow you to increase fps above 60. I'm getting 4fps in Day of Defeat (not a typo) and have no idea why, but can't afford ANY hardware yet. Any idea on why? Answers could help all of us ;)

WELL burning lieutenant lets have your system specs, the more detail the better especially the graphics card, is it agp or pci
