hi,
I bought FF Online yeaterday, but when I installed it and got it updated it gave me the error "Terminated as error occured in Final Fantasy XI. Failed to recognize Hardware TnL. Please check that this computer has the required specifications to run Final Fantasy X1.(-1)
Here are the system requirements:
OS - Win 98, SE, Me, 2K, XP
CPU - P3 800 MHZ or faster
MEM - 128
Graphics card - Nvidia Geforce w' 32 MB
Sound Card - DX 8.1 compatible sound card
HDD space - 6 free gigs
CD-ROM speed - 4x or faster

Here's what I have:
OS - WinXP HE
CPU - Intel Celeron 2.7 GHZ
Memory - 256 PC2700 DDR
Graphics card - Intel 82845G Graphics controller W' 64 MB
Sound Card - Realtek AC97 Audio
HDD space - 18 gigs free
CD-ROM speed - 56x
DX 9.0
What's going on? My best guess is that my video card can't handle it. I'll look at getting a different one, unless one of you have a suggestion for me. It wants an Nvidia Geforce card, I have an Intel, but it still has 64 MB of VRAM. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
~winipcfg

Thanks, RF85,
That was my suspicion. The only thing about that is I was examining my setup and I don't have an AGP slot! Do you think if I bought a 64 MB PCI card, it would run? Also, does it have to be an Nvidia chipset, or can I buy a less expensive one? The funds are kinda short right now. Or is this a ? for the hardware section? Sorry it took so long for me to reply.
Hope to hear back from ya,

well if dont have a AGP slot u will have big performance set back, but if u get a pci card like the pci version of the fx5200 the game will run but not in max settings. and the card does not have to be a nvidia, it could also be an ATI. i dont recommend u change the mobo if ur in a tight budget just to get the AGP slot.

i hope it was some help. good luck :)

Thank You,
All is well. I bought an Nvidia Geforce MX4000 PCI card. It runs perfect at max settings.
