FarCry no D3D support

Comment:
FarCry looks bad, and has cronic black areas on the ground. Also, It shows no support for Direct3D where it should be enabled.
I have an NVidia 6800GT card.
Is this a known issue with a fix? Patch the game or update drivers?
Updating your Win98SE to WinXP would also be wise.

Thanks for the links Custom Built. I put in the latest driver for the card last night, and the problem remains. So, it's the patch that is really needed. Oh, yeah,I'm running the game on Window XP. I need to update the info that is showing on this site.

Yeh I had the same problem on my card, also the water looked really poor quality. The patch helped that, and also the crashing on load was sorted too.
