Hello,
I had recently bought Far Cry, and the game is great, ran great, and sounded great. It was great to say the least
However, I decided I'd like to take advantage of EAX Features that these new games offer, so I decided to ditch my Nvidia Soundstorm that my A7N8X Deluxe has Onboard and move on to the SB Audigy 2 ZS. The problem is that I get crackles/pops constant while I play, and it starts out fine and then just degrades into an annoyance that I can't stand.
Just to name a few things I've tried:
-Latest Drivers/game updates
-CMSS 3D sound off
-EAX on/off, Compatibility mode on/off, doppler effects on/off.
-Hardware acceleration at Highest, Improved, Standard, and Emulation.
-switch PCI slot and reinstall drivers.I have my fingers crossed to the breaking point that possibly the 1.2 Far Cry patch remedies this issue, but that seems a little too good. Any help would be beyond appreciated.

Go there and search for your sound card and update the drivers if you haven't already.

my quadrophonic speakers setup won't work with this game. In Farcrys options i set it to 4 speakers but the back 2 don't ever work
