Hi, I'm getting e-dsl as I can't get terrestrial dsl in my area. It has a surf speed of 512kb and upload speed of 128kb. Will this upload speed be enough for smooth(ish?) online gaming for games such as Halo, CS:S etc.? Also, it has a surf limit of 500mb (not the d/l limit)..is this enough? All I usually surf for is through forums and gamespot.com..

upload speed has no bearing with online games unless you plan on being the server. If thats the case then 128 wont even be close to what you need for running a server because that 128 is divide up between all the players that connect to you.
On the other hand if you plan on connecting to servers you then will be using your down speed and 512 should be enough speed depending on how close the sevrers are.
My cable connection is 5 megabit down 768 killobit up
and i wouldnt even attempt to run a game server on my rig.

If you mean by ping you'll usually get around 60-80, so it will be smooth.
