hi guys i wanted to know how good r the new xfi scards.. r the gaming effects they provide rly worth it? i have a very strict budget n would have to wait many month b4 buyin a xtremegamer scard, so is it worth it? do the eax 5.0 effects rly matter n make a diff in games? n more importantly do they hav any performance impact runnin on a p4 1gb ram wid xfx 7900gs gcard?

Today's onboard audio is sufficient for all but the most "extreme" needs.

I have a extremegamer. Like jackbomb said framerate wise you won't really see a difference. But if you have a 5.1(or 7.1) sound setup or use headphones to game, you will notice a big difference sound wise.
