hi there i recently bought the new sound blaster live 24bit 7.1 card. however in farcry when i enable hardware mixing and eax i get the most horrible very loud feedback! i have tried compatabiliy mode to but it does the same? any ideas??

What do you mean by feedback? Have you checked all of your volume/preference settings to ensure this isn't the problem? This may be a stupid question, but does FarCry support EAX? If so, you may want to download the latest drivers as this could be the issue. If you are using the most recent drivers, SP2 could possibly cause this problem. (not sure on this one)
