EA link won't stay connected

For some reason my EA link will no loner stay connected?! It used to. It connects, then disconnects, then automatically interconnects, then disconnects...
Any advise? I tried turning off zone alarm, anti virus and I even opened the right ports (thought that was not a problem before so I don't think that's it). I can play 2142 just fine still.

i had the same problem. i connected internet through router. but after i removed the router,just directly connect the pc with the modem. its all fixed.

Thanks. I'll give it a go. EA has been totally useless, providing nothing but canned answers.
