I've had this problem on two separate computers: I put in a game that is on DVD and I can not get it to autoplay to install it. The same disc has worked in a DVD drive but not in a DVD burner...any ideas?

this should be a hardware problem, post it in general hardware.
Wins 98 SE, intel celeron 450MHZ, 128MB pc 100.
6GB HD. ATI rage 128.
24x cd-rom. 8x2x8 cd-rw.
"You know what burns my ass? A flame about this high."

Enable CD autoplay in XP.
OR
Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers
Right click on the AutoplayHandlers subkey and delete it. Do the same here under the key below too.HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives
If still not corrected, manually make these changes under this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives
Double click the "Drive Type" value to change it's properties. CD-R should be set to 1; CD-RW should be set
to 2; Non-Writable should be set to 3.Then under AutoPlayHandlers:User Defaults verify MSCDBurningOnArrival. For any listed without an Autoplay LegacyHandler, set it to AutoPlay.
AutoPlay Handler Keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers\MSTakeNoAction
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoplayHandlers\Handlers
OR
Autoplay repair fix.
