With my new setup everything works great! The only problem is that it says the ram is in single channel. I have installed the ram correctly in the green slots, and everyone says it is supposed to regonize it as dual channel, but it doesn't. What am I doing wrong???

Is the ram EXACTLY the same? If it is not same frequency/size etc it won't work.

Read your manual about dual RAM configuration, or try the board manufacturer's website

I have not tried flashing the bios, and yes the ram is exactly the same.

It is the Corsair Dual Channel Kit off of Newegg.com

I have the MSI K8N Neo4 NForce4 SLI motherboard...

What is so hard about that? You have 3 choices...

When using 2 sticks of RAM, you can either put one in Green DIMM1 & the other in Purple DIMM2...or you can put one in Green DIMM3 & the other in Purple DIMM4. Either combination will put you in dual channel mode.

The 3rd choice is to put matching RAM in all 4 slots.

Nothing to it!

You said you put it in the green slots? You need to put it in both colours because each colour is a separate channel (hence, dual channel). Make sure one is installed in the green slot and another in the purple (or whatever other colour) slot RIGHT BESIDE IT or else you'll get major instability.
