Dual boot XP and 7

July 19, 2010 at 12:36:25
Specs: Windows XP
I want to dual boot Windows XP and 7 using 2 harddisks, and I have windows XP installed, and I do not want to reinstall it.
I just want to buy another HD and install windows 7 on it and then choose at startup which one i want to boot.

How can I do this?

You basically answered your own question. Purchase and install the new drive. Then, install Windows 7 on it. The Win7 installer will automatically handle setting up the dual-booty.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to post them here or in a new thread.

Install Win 7 from within XP. ..just pop in the disc & select "advanced", then have it install on the 2nd HDD.

BTW, this is the gaming forum, not the WinXP or Win 7 forum.
