Is there a big difference in speed between DSL and Cable, we have cable but my dads is saying its to expensive and wants to swith to DSL...what would be the average ping for gaming if you have DSL ?

difference between DSL and Cable is that, DSL is constant because you're the only one using that connection.
Cable can get slow if there's neighbors using Cable at same time, cause everyone is sharing that connection.

In the UK we call it Broadband and ADSL. is ADSL, DSL then? and Broadband is cable?

I thought ADSL was different to Broadband though

ADSL is better in some cases if you want to download go with cable but watch out for security issues if you want safe and good ping gaming use adsl.

I use adsl and its good for gaming.
20 - 60 ping.

Cable aint good for gaming just downloading.

Right now im using cable and I think its great for gaming, currently i get around 30-60. Im just hoping the DSL could go faster or around the same speed.

Im in Australia and if I play on a local cs server with my cable i usually get between 5 - 30 ping =)
