OS: Xp home
CPU/Ram: 3400/1gig

Lately after i use my pc for a while (about an hour) it starts to use a standard vga driver and not the Ati catalyst drivers. I have downgraded to 6.1 of the drivers and still have the problem. I also get i/o error 1450 from time to time. My graphics card is a 9800 pro.

Have you try to uninstall ur old driver before u install the new one?

Hasn't worked. Any other suggestions? I think it may be to do with when i overclocked my card.

The frames per second on all my games is dropping to about 20 and below when before i'd get about 50 - 80.
