doom 3 is acting weird

ok heres the problem after about an hour of playing doom 3 it will run like crap. the framerate will drop from 50fps down to 5 for a split second. does anyone have any idea why it would run just fine and then an hour later perform worse. and thanks for the help.

it should run ok for your g.card, in your case maybe there were other programs running on the background. like antivirus or sqlserver, etc.

something could be overheating, thats why you see it happen after an hour of that wattage sucking game. check the teperatures of your components, clear some dust out or get some better cooling.
