Hey i was tinking about this bundle deal here (if its worth getting)
Asus A8N-SLI DLX Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3200 S939
Corsair 1GB (2*512) 400fsb TWINX
$638.85 CDNNow i have a decent system but a f***ing crappy gfx card. now for sli ready does ATI have one or only Nvidia(sellers)? but i know Nvidia dosnt have a 512 mb gfx card and ati does
Mod it till it bleeds

ATI do not have an equivalent to SLI yet, to my knowledge, but they are developing 'Multi Rendering', which will be a dual card solution like SLI. Also, the 512Mb card was just a demo, there are as yet no official plans to sell the card.
Source - FiringsquadAnyway, ytf would you want dual ATI cards when you can get SLI nVidia cards? Even if ATI did make a dual card thing, their drivers would probably not work for a month. Get 2 geforce 6800GT's, or even 1 Ultra and you will be able to run everything at full detail.
AMD Athlon 64 S939 3000+
ASUS A8V Deluxe WE MoBo
20Gb + 80Gb ATA133 HDD
Leadtek geforce 6800 128Mb
ThermalTake 360W PurePower PSU

if i do get that bundle what would be the best 2 card combo ???
BTW they did announce that the 512 mb card are in plans for mass production (the company is canadian and so am i lol).
Mod it till it bleeds

none of course lol. i only want SLI for the dual display because i bought 2 of the same lcd for two computers, now ill put them on mine and take my old crt's and put tose on my bro's comp. also it will help for 3d modeling and rendering (see the rendered image on one and repair flaws in the other)
Mod it till it bleeds

If you're into 3d rendering, and you have the money to spend, forget about the standard gaming cards. They are designed for gaming. There are workstation cards which are tuned for that kind of thing. I don't know about nVidia but I do know that ATI has some workstation graphics cards on their website. Be warned though, they are considerably more expensive and harder to get a hold of. You won't be able to go to one of those little stores and pick one up easily. As for the 512MB card, yes they did announce plans for mass production BUT, i don't think that at this stage, it's would be worth it. The way the card is designed, only the first 256MB are linked directly to the card, the rest of the memory goes through the first set of 256MB so I'm not sure if there will be that much of a performance increase.
As a final suggestion:
If you're into 3d rendering, go with a workstation card, (ATI FireGL series) if you have the money for it.If you just do it as a hoby and like to game, then, go to the 256MB cards.
If you have time though, consider waiting. I recently read that Gigabyte is developping a dual GPU card with 2 6600GTs. The card is supposed to be cheaper than the X850XT but outperform it it. The only problem is that it won't come out for a while. And by then, the 512MB cards might be better.
AMD AthlonXP 3000+
EPoX EP-8RDA+ Motherboard
2256MB Corsair 3500C2
200GB WD ATA HD
