I have updated and patched everything for my Battlefield 2. I ran the game about a year ago and everything worked perfectly. I had to reinstall the game due to it freezing up at the start up. it says Display Memory 0.0 Fail 128.0 on the easy menu and everything else passes. Im sure i got it my comp. is just acting weird. My graphics card is a Radeon 9200.My comp is a AMD Athalon 64 Processor 3500+,2.20 GHz,and Windows XP service pack 2

You are in big need for a gpu upgrade. Your gpu is bottle necking your whole system when playing games like BF2.
You should have at least a Geforce 7600GT or a ATI X1600 Pro, if you want to see real results with this game. Trust me if you pick up one of these cards for under 100 bucks on newegg you will see a world of diff compared to what you were used to. It's well worth the investment.
Because your video card is outdated & not capable of newer games...it's not even good for older games such as BF2. There are plenty of better cards available & you wouldn't have to spend all that much. At least get a card that supports DX9 & has 256MB of 128-bit memory.
