It may run directx9 games, but will not render advanced features that DX9.c+ may implement in that particular game. Vertex and pixel shader models, version 2.0 and 3.0 will not be supported (among other things) on a DX8.1 card. If you expect to run any recent Game the way it was coded to run at, with reasonable quality (Hi-Res Textures, Normal Maps, Dynamic Lights, ect...) then you would need at least a generation or two old video card. Anything higher than an ATI 9600, or Geforce 6600Gt, for entry level gaming.

Thanks for the replies.... and what about the X550 anyway? Because my main concern is actually on this X550. Thanks again for any comment and feedback.
Even though the 9200 won't run games that require the PS2.0+ features of DX9C, you should still be able to install the DX9C runtime on your PC. As one person said above, I'd try upgrading to service pack 2.
The X550 is able to perform the same hardware features as the X800 series; but it's a lot slower.
I have now upgraded my system to be XP SP2. And my system now can have to DirectX 9c. But then when i start playing game that need DirectX 9c support, system will reboot and pop up a message saying just recover from a fatal error. Well, my graphic card is ATI 9200 SE.
Anyone has idea on that? Is it my card that cant support to that DirectX 9c?
Sorry if anyone feel the question is a silly one. ;)
