I downloaded this

Once I extracted it, I go to the setup and get an error that sais

'a cabinet file nessesary for installation cannot be trusted'

. and then I cannot install it. I am using win98 lite IE completely removed, unofficial service pack 2, and then directx 6.1

try to find a game that has directx9, some games included directx9 in the CD. or you can go to this website http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=874 and find the directx 9

I used DXB (direct x buster) uninstalled 6.1 and then installed dx 8 and it worked. maybe 9.1c just doesnt work on my win98.

directx9c works on win 98. but not sure if your video card support it.
