when ever i try to install directx9 the message saying that it is not windows xp logo certified and therefore will not be installed. i have tried to find support form the microsoft site, but i cant find where to get it. please help me

Have you looked/searched in the mircosoft knowledge base? I had this very problem myself when trying to play The Matrix on the PC, just trying to remember exactly how i sloved it :0/

go to microsoft to download and install direct x 9. download varys but u will have to download and run a setup file for it then that should take care or your problem.
