Reply: (edit)Hi there, I'm having the same problem with The Sims 2. The installation went fine, but when I tried to launch it I got the "Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adaptor in this system. Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible adaptor and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacture. The application will now terminate" message. I went to Microsoft's site to install 9.0c and tried to re-launch the Sims, but the same message popped up. It's confusing me, because I had Sims 2 installed once before, but I had to uninstall it because I got a new computer. It installed fine on this new one, but it won't play. I don't know how to update the latest drivers. For that matter, I'm not sure what they are. I did the DxDiag thing and it says that I have DirectX 9.0c, but the game still won't work. Any suggestions? Kellie
