i have updated my diablo 2 v 1.1 and it wont let me load my edited characters and when i make a new character it does the same it says "unable to load character" something like that. is there a way i can get a new character editor/ with were to get it or do i have to go to another version of the game

I think that you have to get a character editor that works with your specific version, if you have a version that is different that your edited character then you will get that error.
I would recommend doing a search and try to find an editor for your specific version or reinstall the program and update to the same version that the editor edits the characters to.
