Yesterday I played Diablo 2 Expansion in full screen and it worked fine. I saved my game and shut my computer off by holding down the power button. (I was in a hurry) However, today i get on and I cannot get it to play in full screen when it usually does it on its own. I tried changing the resolution to 800 X 600 and I still can't get full screen. I'm not so good with computers so if there's anything technical that needs to be done then please be detailed.. Other wise I'll take anything I can get..

Do you have it running in windowed mode?
If you are playing it in windowed mode, you can either tell by right clicking on the icon, looking at the end of 'target' and seeing if theres a -window, OR the more common way is to go into the settings on the game and make sure its not on 'play in window mode'. BTW, why go down in screen res, go up. Also, if its in windowed mode, it should have the top right like internet, with the minimize, maximize, and exit, hit the maximize to bring it back to normal.

also try hitting alt+enter while the game is open, if none of the above suggestions work out.

ps. 800x600 is the max resolution in diablo 2 doomhammerr;). the only other choice is 640x480.

OK... I'm definently not in wondowed mode. No maximize or minimize buttons and the end of target doesnt say -window. Alt + enter didn't work either. It just opened up the message bar. Heres what the target box said
Application
Diablo II
"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe"
Then a few boxes down it says run and I changed it to maximized to see if it made any changes but it didnt..

Hey! I've found a solution for a problem very similar that had occurred on my machine.I am using vista and Diablo II LOD was working fine until I got an error and all of a sudden my diablo game was running with a large black border...I tried all the options suggested with no avail. I then (very frustratedly decided to poke around... If right click on ur desktop go to "graphics options" then "Panel Fit" then click on "Full Screen (No Boarder)". This fixed The Whole problem... I would like to mention that I dont even have it running in the 265 color or even the windows xp compatibility mode...
