is DFI infinity a good motherboard choice to install a single ATI RADEON X850xt PE 256mb PCI-E? Will 2x512MB CORSAIR XMS ram work on it? i have heard there are dual channel problems on it? and that ram must work in singe chanel? what?

There are several DFI InFinity motherboards. Which one? If the NF4 Ultra or SLI one, yes. Do not use XMS memory on it though. Quite honestly, XMS is a waste of money.
And again, the X850XT is not the best card for your money.

Let's get this video card issue settled 1st. You keep mentioning the "ATI RADEON X850xt PE 256mb PCI-E"...do you already have it or is it on your "wish list"? If you already have it, fine. If it's the card you're planning to buy, you should really reconsider something different.
As for the RAM...go to the DFI website & look at the recommended list
its certainly on my wish list, why should i not buy the card? and why is corsair XMS a waste of money.?
i decided on Lanparty DR SLI nF4 motherboard , not infinity. The computer specs listed here, (Below) are of my brother's computer, and now im building my own.

XMS costs far more than other low latency RAM. Look at Mushkin and OCZ. It's also debatable if low latency RAM itself as a whole makes that much difference. I personally understand choosing to go with lower latency, but don't spend what XMS costs when XMS has the highest compatibility problems of pretty much any low latency RAM.
The X850 is a generation behind the X1XXX's and 7XXX series Nvidia cards. There are better cards for the money.
