Not as good as a well built computer you assemble yourself.
Bottom line is Dell cuts corners you probably wouldn't. But you knew that, right?

If you don't know or want to sit down and learn how to build a pc, then the higher end dells should be "acceptable". There just riddled with bloatware, do some price cheching on the parts included and see just how much there charging you to put it together themselves.
