I have a Dell Dimension 4500s.P4 2.4 processor.1 Gig ram(2x512)DDR pc2100 266mhz. Sapphire Radeon 9550 256Meg graphics PCI Sound Maker 5.1 Soundcard.
This pc is only used by me and only used to play Americas Army 2.5 online.At the moment i can run 85 fps in game.Can i get more if i overclock my 9550? Also i have heard that my mobo can not be overclocked,is this true? I would love the extra fps..

The 9550 is nothing more than an underclocked 9600. The core clock is lowered from 325MHz to 250MHz & "locked". Using ATiTOOL, you can bypass the lock & safely take it up to 325MHz, & it will probably go a lot higher. I have profiles setup...when I'm just surfing around, I run with the defaults, if I game, I use the overclock profile.

As for overclocking your Dell...there may be software available for that too. CPUFSB, SoftFSB, ClockGEN, are a few I can think of. Google will find them for you...
