deadly stars running like a lagging

i am trying to play this free game deadly stars.when i start to play this game -it gets pause in between again and again. i tried the compatibilty thing in prop. of the game exe.Tried every windows but didn't worked out. The game still hangs in between and then runs again.

Click start and then run and type in dxdiag then click ok. This will start your direct x diagnostics. You can allow the diags to check for WHQL signatures. Under the system tab towards the bottom you can find the version of DirectX that you are running. Deadly Stars requires 9.0 and recommends 9.0c. If you are not running a recommended version you can download the upgrade at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/... In DXDiags under the DirectX files tab you can look in the notes box and see if there are any errors listed. Under the display tab you can run various tests for direct draw and direct 3d and also choose to disable the acceleration if it is causing a problem. Most likely just updating to the 9.0c will solve your problems. DXDiags is a good tool to help you correct errors and get the most from your system.
