I found a great deal, 2x512mb Kingston ddr2 (pc2 3200) for about 30 bucks. but i'm not sure if i can use it on my mobo, it only supports ddr memory. Can you guys tell me if i can?
By the way, i know that ddr2 is 240-pin and ddr is 184-pin.
Thank you, again.WinXP professional SP2

Hmmmm, let me think about that one. The board ONLY supports DDR & you know that DDR has 184-pins...you also know that DDR2 has 240-pins.
I think I know the answer, but I'm gonna have to do some googling to be sure. I'll get back to you after I finish putting these size D batteries in my TV remote

Assuming you bought it for 30 bucks for 1g DDR2 RAM, now how can you physically fit a 240pin RAM into a 184pin slot?

That's a good question. So i will re-sale it. Hope i win 60 bucks a least.

No, he was being sarcastic. He wasn't asking a theoritcal question.
DDR1, DDR2, DDR3, DDR4, DDR5 etc... will never be compatible with one another. Each generation will have more pins, and diff seattings.
