Day of Defeat crashing to desktop!

When I pick the server I want to join, I click it, the loading bar comes up and loads.. when the server is done loading it switches to the game screen where you can pick your team, then crashes about 2 seconds later. DoD crashes to desktop everytime I join a server. No error message saying it's performed an illegal function, etc. It basically just closes. I've tried re-installing, deleting certain files so steam reloads them again, I even heard uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 might help, but.. newp. I'm thinking it could be my video card for some reason. When I play TFC, it also closes on occasion. Just closes, no error. Source games run without a hitch. Help! :(
