I didn't mean that newegg is expensive, I meant that you chose expensive RAM. You could have gone with a different brand & saved $50-75.

God i hate marketing schemes" And just how is it that the "ripped you off"? They advertised a product you wanted for a price. You apparently were willing to pay said price for product since you bought it. Now they have reduced their price on the product, probably becuse the manufacturer reduced their price to them, and you feel you were wronged? If you didn't want to pay that price - don't buy it! Uless they never reduced a price on an item there will always be someone who buys a product the day before the price is reduced. As others have stated, NewEgg is a very reputable retailer, if you were to ask for a credit there is a good possibility they would give you one. They do have a 30-day return policy, so it would be in their interest to give you a credit rather than have you return the memory just to repurchase it again at the lower price. But, instead of giving them the chance to even do that you decided to come on to a forum to bash them for reducing their prices. How dare they! Michael J

I've noticed that Newegg's prices seem to vary from day to day. It probably depends on which manufacturers were cutting deals that week, and which RAM sticks were piling up in inventory. Sure the RAM prices went down the very next day, but other items went up. Ya win some, ya lose some. -Bob
