I just bought Corsair 2gig DDR2 800 for 305.00 on 10/11/06, when newegg said sale ends on 10/11/06. Today on 10/12/06 they are selling it for 281.00!! God i hate marketing schemes
Eitherway, go easy on Newegg, corporations like Exxon Mobil has been sticking it to us all for a while now and we have no feasible recourse.
Newegg on the otherhand, is arguably an e-tailer with the most satisfied customers handsdown & I'm sure if you call them up and express your disstisfaction, they probably won't hesitate to try and make it up to you somehow.
I completely agree. I've bought easily tens of thousands of dollars of stuff from them for myself and clients of mine over the years. Easily the best etailer out there, although I also like zipzoomfly a lot.
I didnt go to other retailers because i wanted everything to come in one package. I like newegg still, one of the best online. Id rather pay a little bit higher for better service than buy from an ebay merchant or something. Oh well things are too late now, guess ill do more comparison shopping next time.

And just how is it that the "ripped you off"? They advertised a product you wanted for a price. You apparently were willing to pay said price for product since you bought it. Now they have reduced their price on the product, probably becuse the manufacturer reduced their price to them, and you feel you were wronged? If you didn't want to pay that price - don't buy it!
Uless they never reduced a price on an item there will always be someone who buys a product the day before the price is reduced.
As others have stated, NewEgg is a very reputable retailer, if you were to ask for a credit there is a good possibility they would give you one. They do have a 30-day return policy, so it would be in their interest to give you a credit rather than have you return the memory just to repurchase it again at the lower price.
But, instead of giving them the chance to even do that you decided to come on to a forum to bash them for reducing their prices. How dare they!
I've noticed that Newegg's prices seem to vary from day to day. It probably depends on which manufacturers were cutting deals that week, and which RAM sticks were piling up in inventory.
Sure the RAM prices went down the very next day, but other items went up. Ya win some, ya lose some.
