CPU/Ram: 3.0 pent 4 /w HT/ 1gb DDR

When i play CS source i get in-game and i can maybe play 1 round or so than the game just freezes up and most of the time this error message will come up

"The instruction at "0x2417a02b" referenced memory at "0x00efed0". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program.


it wasent doing this at all in the last few weeks and all of a sudden it started and i didnt change anything

System Specs
Pent 4 3.0ghz w/HT, 1gb DDR ram
Radeon 9800xt 512 on-board
60gb harddrive

well i went into my BIOS and my active temp is 158 degress F, could this be the problem, i havent put a non-stock heat sink on my CPU and i didnt buy any fans when i got the computer just got the one that came with the case

Cool your case first before you replace your stock heatsink/fan unless the stock fan is not running properly. May want to try dusting it and the heatsink out as well.
