Hi i recently got Counter strike source and have wicked pings of 150-250 even when i play on very close servers my friends dont seem to have this problem any idears why i do ?

You have some guts playing CSS on that PC my friend. So you have 56k? I'd expect you to have a ping of 150-250 if you do. Your friends probably have a faster Internet connection than you, i.e. Cable.
