CSS onlone lag. old comp . get ram?

I have an ancient comp. p3 256mb ram ati rage fury 2000 vid card & I play css... & I have a lit of lag. My vid card just passes but playing online gives me a lot of lag i was wondering if upgrading my ram could be heplful...

Would be nice to know what MMz your p3 is. Personally, I wouldn't put any RAM in it, or any other piece of hardware. It's a waste. You honestly need a better CPU, more RAM, and a better video card. Upgrading any single thing probably won't help you for the game. But if you were gonna upgrade something, I guess the RAM would be the way to go since it would help you in every other app you run. Specifically for CS:S, video card would be the best bet, but again, it's questionable how much benefit you'll get. Please help survivors of Hurricane Katrina! www.redcross.org

Summary: Make sure you understand what I wrote above. If you're going to run the 32-bit version of XP or Vista, they will NOT recognize more than 3.5GB. Even if you install 16GB, the system will only use 3.5GB...
