Alright, I bought crysis, bundles of fun, it runs perfect on my system with a few thigns set at high but mostly medium, so it can be done without purchasing a few thousand dollar machine. Thats not my problem, it's everything else. I recently noticed my programs, like all of them such as itunes etc.. have very bold fonts, and they have missaligned options, so in movie maker i couldnt click next to finalize the movie, i had to hit enter, and the biggest problem of all. Counter strike source. Well, STEAM, basically, everything in steam is gone, meaning the outlook is there but no text, at all.. such as when u right click on the steam options, you get options, i dont, its blank. Also, in CSS, i can see the main menu, but the thigns ran by steam, like the games, are all hyphens, no text, at all... I'm guessing this could be the installion from crysis, does it install and weird drivers or odd directx's that would do this? and i cant reinstall steam, i cant figure out my password, and it figures they would say my account name doesnt exsist, so, i would like to figure this out pleaseeee. thank you

been there done that, wore out the t shirt
i tried a system restore, initially worked fine for xp , but not for the game,, graphics driver still needed reinstalling to play the game due to horrible in game artifacts.
plenty of google links for crysis & graphics issues.
cod4 better.
good luck

Happened to me too, tried the driver reinstall but that didn't work. Some one else told me it was something to do with the character set on the comp getting messed up but I couldn't even begin to bother to think what the hell I needed to do to sort that out so I just restored and got rid of Crysis. As the guy above me said it wasn't anything special anyway... CoD4 is a better game overall.

Also, OT but "Jabbering Idiots: Everywhere You Look!" - LOL, funny how everyone who bashes Vista are the ones who were smart enough to try it before they bought it, those who defend it are the ones left with a hole in their wallet and a sour experience because everyone else laughs at them. If anything, he's the idiot. Hah, mad emy day that blog.
