hi there.
i bought a proper copy of crusader no remorse on the cheap a couple of years ago (for nostalgic value more than anything else), and dismissed it when i found it wouldn't install on winXP. recently i found a program called "dosbox" which would emulate DOS and fix the problem.
so, i ran DOSbox, installed the game properly, and went to run it - only to find an error when the game ran.
the error is as follows, and it happens as the game first loads up, still in a DOS-style text layout:
"unable to open file (null), in file FILE\FASTFLEX.C, line 38"
then nothing....
anybody know how to fix this problem? is there an official fix or patch that i can get to sort this file problem out? (it seems to be missing)
as a last resort i tried running the .exe file straight from the CD - it came up with a write-protected error.then i tried copying the contents of the CD to my HDD and tried running the .exe from there, but no luck. same FASTFLEX.C error.
am i doing something wrong?
purkle <~>
