hi,
so this is my problem:
when i trying to play games, they start, but after 10-20 minutes crashes. In most cases computer doesn't stop, but sometimes it reboots. I tested my cpu, ram, video car, hdd with various test and nothing had errors. Also the funny thing is that i can play for example heroes 3 all day long and it is stable, but civ4, nfs mw, l2 and even cs crashes after less then 30 min. System is am athlon 3000+, radeon 9600 256mb, 512mb of ram. Please help. (I read about IRQ, but i'm not sure how to check if it its fault).

It's most likely heat related or power supply related.
Try taking the side off your computer and play a game that usually crashes. If it doesn't crash with the side off, it means you have a heat problem.
In the meantime, please post the make and model of your power supply, and how many amps are on the 12V rail. This info is found on the label on your power supply.

well, on my computer's side there a is 2 fans, so i don't think it would help, but in those cases when computer reboots CPU's temperature is ~45C, is this too high?
Power supply: codegen 300x 300W
+12V - 16A
-12V - 0.8A

Where are you getting that temperature reading?
Also, how many drives do you have? (Hard drives, CD ROM's)

well, they are shown when my computer boots
i have 1 samsung sp0812c 8gb hard drive and lite-on combo cd rom drive

Well, it could still be the power supply.
Do you have a multimeter to test the voltages?

you may be right, i changed my power supply and now i am looking at the old one, it says: +12V - 10A
-12V - 0.8aso could this be a problem?
P.S. i don't have a multimeter

If the power supply you were using when the games were locking up, or system was rebooting was that one, you may want to upgrade your power supply.
Good deal:

Ok, thanks for the offer, if i wont get other replies i think i'll upgrade that damn power supply :]

I think your problem is not a heat issue, i think is your motherboard.
I had the same problem and i bought a fan for my Radeon 9600 but the problem was still there. Then, my uncle sold me his mobo instead 256mb of ram and my old and problematic mobo...... then....... I havent stoped playing :S
So, consider a new mobo.
Actually, i overclocked my video card from Core: 324Mhz Memory: 195Mhz to Core: 371Mhz Memory: 199Mhz.
I have a 300 watts power suply
WinXP professional SP2
Biostar VIA PM800
Celeron D 2.66ghz overclocked to 2.81ghz
1gb 400mhz DDR
Xtasy 9600 PRO 256mb
Maxtor 40GB
Sharing is living.
Today for me, tomorrow for you

well i changed my power supply and mobo about a month ago, because my computer then crashed totaly. first i thought it was power supply problem, i've changed it, but still computer hasn't worked, when i changed my mobo it works, but with this problem which appears only when playing. why? :( mobo: NFII ULTRA - AL

also i have another question:
in device manager, where is display adapter there is: radeon 9600 series and
radeon 9600 series - seconondaryis this ok? if i disable the secondary device nothing changes.

"is this ok? if i disable the secondary device nothing changes."
You have two monitor ports on the card. Secondary is to do dual monitors.
