Depends wat the refresh rate is set on ur monitor is, go to display props and monitor settings and make it higher if its only on 60 then turn off V-sync (I do on the nVidia card) then when in cs type in fps_max (no. of fps here)

My thoughts exactly.

there is seriously nothing wrong with 60 fps.. i only get 60 because of the monitors refresh rate on 1280x1024.. but to me it looks way better with vsync on!!
my current settings are.. 1280x1024, 32bit color.. 6x anti-aliasing.. all video settings on high.. etc.. and the game looks great.. 9800xt.. of coarse if I was to set it at 1024x768 i would only get a max of 85 once again because of the refresh rate.. possibly a monitor that supports higher refresh rates/resolutions would help out..

Nothing is wrong with 60 fps. I just want to see how much i can get out of it, and what difference it will make.

And how do i turn VSync off?
