Does anyone know how to get the new steam and counter-strike to work together? I'd personally hate to downgrade to CS 1.6
thanx

CS 1.5 is offline forever, they took WON down. CS 1.6 is the most current.

Steam used to have alot of problems but its ok now. The fact that they can update your CS with absouletly no intervention is convientent. I hear they are considering offering HL2 on steam. You would buy it over steam and then it will automatically download and install itself.

Craps
as I've seen on certain servers, "1.6 sucks the big one", and I agree. I guess Valve&Sierra have lost another customer in my persona.
Thanks for the help everyone

First condition zero, the biggest disapointment in game history and now the took down the WON servers. Steam for multi player blows bigger chuncks than vanilla ice and the OJ simpson trail.
Now when you go into 1.5 cs and hit net games it says "out of date .exe" but if you hit cancel the net thing still comes up but can't update because that won server is down,
anyone know how to change the get information IP in counter strike so maybe someone can create a generic server to run like the WON server to list the IP's?
We must bring back 1.5!!!!!

Well, how about we write a letter to Sierra and try to explain that there are millions of users who were quite happy with 1.5 release and did not like the 1.6 release, thus we should be able to play the game we love.
And by the way, does it not cost them a pretty penny trying to update everyone? How big is the 1.6 download by the way?
