Reply: (edit)Hi, you have CS1.5, everyone plays 1.6 now, so your version is outdated. I suggest you download steam again, if you have a CD Key activate it or otherwise buy it from steam and start playing version 1.6 which has been out for some time now.

Reply: (edit)v1.6 is downloadable via steam. Download steam and when you run it activate your cd key. If you have an authentic key then the CS download will be availabe, it will download the latest counter strike, which is 1.6.

Reply: (edit)hi, this is the steam official FAQ http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php go on it, and see what you find. I think it's most probably your internet connection.
