I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good Cooperative PC game (genre dosent matter, except not sports)that can be played either through a lan or tcp/ip. I want to play a game with my brother who lives 3 hours away and we are drawing a blank as there dosent seem to be very many cooperative games out there these days. We are currently playing Neverwinter Nights 2, but I am wondering if there are any other RPG's or FPS's that are good. The last first person shooter that we got to play cooperatively was elite force 1.

Thanks.

Obviously, you can tell what kind of gaming I'm into right now by what I'm going to suggest -

1. Operation Flashpoint: Game of the Year edition (includes Resistance expansion, which is required for many of the free add ons you can get on the net)

Tons of add ons and missions out there by the OFP community for coop play. That's all I ever do with OFP with some friends of mine spread throughout North America, even a few Canadians in our group.

Emphasis on realism and total military simulation from infantry, to armor, to aircraft. This game isn't the easiest to play, but if you can learn how to play the game, well worth it.

2. Armed Assualt

Sequel to OFP coming to North American apparently in May the last time I checked, freely available demo you can do a coop mission on to tide you over. If you're impatient, you can download the British version now.

3. Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter

A lot simpler than the others. No drivable vehicles, bigger focus on small unit tactics with current prototype military weapons. A LOT easier to command troops in this than the other two, far more easily accessible. Does get stale faster though than the others because of a far smaller community making additional map packs, etc.

TECH-NO-LOGICAL ROMANCE!

Rainbow6 vegas...If you got 2 beast machine, yes. I'm crazy about coop 1st person. This is my recommendation:

Doom 3
- update to v1.3
- download OpenCoop mod.

SWAT 4
- up to 5 players coop.

Brother In Arms:Earned In Blood
- one of the best coop game ever.

Half Life 1
- download SvenCoop 3.0

Ground Control 2
- one and only Coop RTS game
