I have been playing online games now for awhile such as Bad Company2 and Left for Dead. The first couple months that I had played these games, the connection was spectacular! For some reason now my connection has been a problem and I have been getting very high ping and lag. I can ONLY play Bad Company 2 on lowest graphic settings but before I could play on highest online. I still get lag when on lowest too. My computer can run games extremely well on offline mode. I did a connection test with my wifi and it is at max speed. When i I roam the internet, also, there are no problems with long load times or anything. Are there any tips anyone can give me to help me figure out how to troubleshoot this problem?

Graphic settings have nothing to do with your connection to the server, it is either because of some bug in the netcode they made have introduced in a patch, or your ICP that have problems.

If your talking about a drop in FPS (frames per second) then its the other way around, your connection has nothing to do with it, and it is rather a problem somewhere in your computer, perhaps a fan not working properly, driver update screwing something up or perhaps a OS update did it.

You're talking about 1 problem, but try to solve it with something that has no influence on it.
Have you tried opening the ports on your router?
