Computer shuts down with random games

Specs: Windows 7, pentium dual cpu 2.40ghz
I have a Nvidia galaxy gts 250 card and it randomly shuts the whole thing down. It does't restart i have to hit power button. I have 4 gigs of ram. I have the side of the case off with a huge fan blowing on it also . Like a stand up cool a room fan. And i still have the problem. It does not do it on wow. or battlefield bad company 2. but the new BF3 Beta it does and also the witcher 2. This computer is like a year old and i should not be having these problems. Any suggestions? I just want to have my system running right for elder scrolls and battlefield 3 when they hit the shelves.
Ive read some other issues witht his card and i shouldve gotten a PNY card like i normally do but i wanted to be cool. Little did i know that this card is just a beefed up 9800.

Check the CPU temp reading in the BIOS to see if it's overheating. Also, are you sure your power supply is adequate to support the added load of your graphics card?
